The Schultz Family
Andrew and Shannon Schultz, together with their children Matthew, Sarah, Daniel, and Drew serve with InFaith as church planting missionaries in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, where they have lived and ministered for the past 25 years. By the grace of God the church they, along with several other missionaries, helped to plant has really grown but they continue to serve there because of the incredible needs of the neighborhood. Kensington is a neighborhood plagued by poverty, drugs, addiction, abuse, violence, crime, deplorable housing, etc. – a neighborhood in desperate need of the Hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
About the Ministry
Much of the Schultz’s ministry centers around the youth, including a large Bible Club for children every Tuesday and a large outreach to neighborhood teens every Thursday as well as various other outreaches and ministries throughout the year. But the ultimate goal is to reach whole families for Christ, and over the years the ministry at Cornerstone Community Church has expanded to include monthly Family Nights, small group Bible studies, addiction recovery, food distribution, after school programs, and so much more in addition to our two worship services each Sunday. God has really blessed the ministry, but there is so much more work yet to be done -- not only because the needs of the neighborhood are so overwhelming but because the opportunities for ministry are endless. With nearly 30,000 people living within a one mile radius of the church, we really believe that we have only begun to scratch the surface of what God is going to do here in Kensington.
